Walk a Mile in My Pradas (2011)

This is actually the story of a homophobe who does not react well when the gay nephew of his boss joins their construction company. Set during Christmas time, a confrontation between the two leads to each making a wish, one that the homophobe would become gay and the other that the gay guy would become straight; which slowly happens. In short, they figure out what happened and they are able to reverse the wish, the homophobe becomes more understanding and they become friends. I do have a problem with the movie though, while it was done in a mildly humous way, the homophobe was a bully and his family was more of the same and him being taught a lesson was a good thing. In my eyes, the problem was his wish that the gay guy would become straight, but his only reason for making this wish was because he didn't like gay people and didn't want them to exist; the gay guy had no lesson that he needed to learn. This change causes pain for the people in the gay guy's life and it costs him his long-time boyfriend, for no reason other than another guy's hatred. Not a bad movie, not great either, and they tried to handle things in a mostly funny way with some seriousness at times, but probably not one I'd watch again.
