The Painted (2024)

63/100

A family line has found a way to capture spirits in paintings and a cousin has now inherited the house with said paintings. Let the hauntings begin. This is a great example of how to make an effective low budget film. The concept was cool, the acting is exceptional, character's actions were intelligent and realistic, albeit sort of weak on overall story development, and it firmly held my interest from start to finish. It doesn't have any outstanding scary moments but I've certainly seen a lot worse on bigger budgets. Unless you'll real picky, this is worth a watch. - DrNostromo.com
