NAZA (2026)

You can simply find a person, sit them down in the dark, and declare that the absence of evidence is an artistic device. And there you are - Venice applauds you.

Pure propaganda against all the evidence showing the opposite.
It's what the leftist extremists love to see and it helps propagating hamas' fake narrative.
Watch it for the trash that it is. Then have a look at all the real footage from hamas that
that was made by hamas self on October 7th.

Twenty-four men and women have taken part in this tensely but very naturally directed assessment of Israeli government policy on the routine killing of what they rather neutrally refer to as "NAZA". Those are individuals who have nothing at all to do with Hamas but are deemed to be acceptable collateral damage if they happen to be located near those identified as legitimate targets. It's been filmed on the rooftops of a thriving and modern night-time Tel Aviv, interrupted by the occassional air-raid sirens, as director Yuvul Abraham questions many of those closely connected with the planning and execution of this strategy about just how deliberate, calculated and knowingly indiscriminate their actions were. Despite them coming from different areas of their establishment, there is an astonishing consistency from their remarks and what I also found quite curious was that of all of these people who readily acknowledged that dozens if not more people were regularly bombed or shot by snipers, none of them ever appear to have said no when given an order. To a person, they complied even if their consciences were troubling them - and I thought that quite surprising. Naturally, they are anonymised but I have to say that listening to them and watching them draw diagrams and describe their roles, you wouldn't have to be "Poirot" to establish their real identities were you to be watching from IDF headquarters, so there is a degree of courage on display here as Abraham elicits some testimony that would certainly put these folks in probably mortal danger, should they ever be brought to trial. What also works really quite well here is the lack of archive. Ordinarily, that would serve to powerfully illustrate the extent of these attacks, but it's absence here seems to intensify more the statements from those exposing something so often denied by their own government, and the anachronisms of having these conversations whilst we casually peek inside the homes/hotels of the locals going about their relatively peaceful lives isn't wasted on us, either. Now for the sake of balance, this isn't really a documentary - it is a series of unsubstantiated and uncountered statements by people who may or may not have their own axes to grind, but the very fact that all have such similar descriptions of their tasks and of the policies that governed them does lend this film a credibility and honesty that is very hard to decry. The lawyers can doubtless argue the semantics of genocide and international law, but just listening to this makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up as the truths of wholesale, often automated, slaughter are writ large - and that last scene makes for potent, and very very sad, watching.
