Audience Reviews

Alunauwie 10/10 Sep 26, 2025
My Broken Mariko, adapted from Hirako Waka's manga, delivers a raw and emotionally resonant story about grief, trauma, and the enduring bond of friendship. With a non-linear narrative that remains clear and cohesive, the film is elevated by Mei Nagano’s powerful and nuanced performance—arguably one of her best—alongside a strong supporting cast. Every character, scene, and dialogue serves a purpose, blending heartbreak with moments of levity. Deeply touching and thoughtfully crafted, this film offers a cathartic reflection on loss and healing, making it a standout watch.
