Love After Addiction (2026)

This is kind of a sequel to the Addicted series from years ago. At this time I haven't seen the original, so I'll just focus on this series. The main story, of two high school friends reuniting 8 years after graduation and falling in love, it was a good story. It was emotionally moving at times; at others it was a bit awkward as they were trying to force humor in, but they did it in an over-the-top way that really didn't flow smoothly. Honestly, without that forced humor, it would have been better, or better still if the humor flowed naturally. I won't give spoilers, other than it does have a happy ending, the one minor spoiler is that the one was an actor and he came to a small village, where the other main character had been living, to film a contest series. Most of that bordered on the idiotic. The contest parts were poorly thought out and scripted and were more like scattered fragments that contributed nothing to the series. In fact, you could take those parts out and the series probably would have been better. For the romance, I would rate that a 8/10, for the contest part a 2/10. It was a really good series, but it could have been much better.
