Her daughter has just gone abroad for a school year when Anna's husband Rolf tells her that he wants a divorce. Anna, surprised and desperate, seeks refuge with her father Hannes. In her idyllic hometown, she meets her childhood sweetheart Nick again, whose wife took the life half a year ago.
