100 years ago, the last remnants of humanity were forced to retreat behind the towering walls of a fortified city to escape the massive, man-eating Titans that roamed the land outside their fortress. Only the members of the Scouting Legion dared to stray beyond the safety of the walls – but even those brave warriors seldom returned alive. Those within the city clung to the illusion of a peaceful existence until the day that dream was shattered, and their slim chance at survival was reduced to one horrifying choice: kill – or be devoured!

The only reason Shakespeare was considered to be the best writer of all time was because Isayama was not born yet.

This show really struggles to tell its story against a myriad of issues. The dialogue is cringey, melodramatic and not a single thought or theme is left unspoken. Everything is told through the text, subtext or implication doesnt exist. If a character is feeling someway they'll smack you across the face with it. The main characters are all shallow tropes with zero depth beyond whatever role they've decided they need to fill. The voice acting is abrasive and similarly trite. The writing quality generally leaves a lot to be desired.

The concept of the story is interesting and the animation is well done.

**Attack on Titan is a unique and captivating sci-fi fantasy masterpiece.**

The comic itself is exceptional, but the animated adaptation elevates it tenfold with its stunning colors and visuals. If you want to witness a flawless transformation from comic to animated series, look no further than Attack On Titan's comic, this series, and its related films. The artwork, animation, and storytelling remain faithful to the source material, adding to the immense world-building.

The initial premise of gargantuan human-eating giants is fantastical, but as the story unfolds, it reveals a vast and intricate narrative. Every aspect of this series was captivating, including the ending which was the best conclusion it could have had.

I fully recommend you stop reading in case you spoil it, and give this outstanding series a chance, starting with the full first season. If season one hooks you, you might want to pause there and search out the best order to watch the films and the movies in. You can get away with watching season 1 to 4, but the movies add expanded world-building context that will add to your entertainment.

I bought this series on Blu-Ray. This one is a keeper!
