First Love, inspired by Utada Hikaru’s iconic songs First Love and Hatsukoi, is a tender and beautifully woven story about love that endures through time, loss, and destiny. The series captures romance with sincerity and emotional depth, highlighted by unforgettable moments — like Harumichi’s heartfelt confession to Yae beneath falling snow, accompanied by perfectly timed music that heightens every emotion. The cast delivers natural and convincing performances, portraying both youth and adulthood with harmony. Despite a few unnecessary mature scenes, First Love remains a poignant reminder that some bonds are timeless — and if love is meant to be, fate will always find its way back.
