Ferhat Biricik

Ferhat Biricik was born in 1988 in Samatya, Istanbul. He began writing stories and composing music at an early age, while also experimenting with turning his narratives into comic strips. After high school, he worked various non-creative jobs, during which he continued producing music with his band and exploring video art. During this period, he created several short film and animation experiments, developing a strong interest in cinematography, lighting, and the expressive potential of the image itself. In his thirties, Biricik was awarded a full scholarship to Istanbul Kültür University, where he finally pursued his long-standing dream of studying cinema. He is currently focused on writing and directing films while composing original music for his own projects, continuing to work across disciplines that blend sound, image, and storytelling.
