His father is director Anup Sengupta and his mother actress and politician Piya Sengupta. He is the grandson of actor-director Sukhen Das. He is dating actress and politician Koushani Mukherjee. Their next venture is Rater Shohor directed by Sayan Basu Chowdhury.
