(ENGLISH) I really liked it and, above all, I liked it because it feels different from Bridgerton. It keeps the romantic, luxurious packaging, yes, but here you can feel a more serious, more political tone, with more at stake than just “who ends up with whom”.

It works because it shows you another side of the Queen: less of an icon, more of a person. And that changes the way you understand the Bridgerton universe, because suddenly power isn’t just decoration: it has weight, it shapes people, and it forces decisions that are anything but glamorous.

It also helps that the romance is intense without covering everything else. There’s emotional tension, there’s desire, but there’s also this constant feeling that you’re looking at something bigger: a system, rules, a world that puts everyone in their place and expects nobody to step out of line.

In terms of pacing, it feels tighter than the main series. Being a miniseries, it gets to the point faster, and that really suits it. It doesn’t wander through endless side plots, and when it goes dramatic, it does it with purpose.

Visually it’s stunning, as expected: costumes, rooms, lighting, everything is polished to the extreme. And still, what surprised me most is that under all that shine there’s a story with a certain bitterness, even with moments that hit hard.

Overall, it’s a spin-off that earns its place and, in some ways, I even find it more interesting than Bridgerton because it dares to look at power and love at the same time, without pretending one doesn’t stain the other.
