Lovely Man presents a bold and emotional story about a man that used woman make up and his estranged daughter, tackling taboo themes with strong performances—especially from Donny Damara. However, the film suffers from a lack of narrative focus and clarity, with underdeveloped plot points and repetitive dialogue. Despite technical flaws and unanswered questions, the emotional connection between characters remains the film’s strongest point.
