The Occupant is a gripping thriller about Javier, a man struggling to let go of his past wealth and happiness, driven by denial and jealousy. The film explores dark themes of identity theft and manipulation, though some plot points—like characters’ naive trust and illogical security lapses—challenge believability. Javier’s mysterious and intense portrayal stands out, but supporting roles could use more depth. Despite some flaws, the story’s tension and unsettling atmosphere make it a compelling watch for thriller fans.
